Physicist

Physicist: Sree Valsan, M.S.
Sree received his B.S. in physics from the University of Calicut in Kerala, India. He has a Masters degree in Radiation Science & Protection from the University of Massachusetts and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Radiology. Over the course of 14 years he has held various positions in Therapy & Diagnostic Physics, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Protection, regulatory control & teaching. His diverse knowledge and experience enable him to effectively manage the technical aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Sree also serves as our Radiation Safety Officer & oversees the safe use of radioactive materials in compliance with applicable state & federal regulations.

• October 21 – Pick N Save Parking Lot – 1113 Ironton Hills, Ironton, Ohio

T he Ironton-Lawrence County Area Community Action Organization (ILCAO) Family Medical Centers has partnered with the Ohio National Guard to provide COVID-19 drive-up testing.

Testing results normally take two-three days and will be accessible to individuals via an online portal when the results are final. Assistance will be provided for those unable to access the portal due to lack of devices and/or Internet availability.

Gary Roberts, Family Medical Centers’ Director of Operations, stated, “We are very pleased to collaborate with the National Guard, Ohio University Southern, the Proctorville Fair Ground, and the local Pick N Save to bring this much-needed testing to our community. This kind of cooperative testing and tracing is a key factor in helping to battle this virus,” he continued.
